Position Summary

PWL Capital is one of the fastest growing wealth management firms in Canada, and we need your help to stay on top of the growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic person to bring their knowledge and analytical skills to the table. If you have 5+ years of experience in the securities industry, in a support function, middle or back office, and love to get stuff done, you will love our fun and fast paced environment.

Primary responsibilities include

Securities Dealer Operations

  • Review, analysis and approval of client account openings, updates and material changes;
  • Scanning and upload of account documentation, once approved by Branch Manager / CCO;
  • Follow-up of account openings with NBIN;
  • Perform daily updates of client data – Purefacts and OSS;
  • Prepare and follow up on cheque deposits;
  • Act as an intermediary between our carrying broker NBIN and PWL’s Advisor teams;
  • Support the documentation and maintenance of procedures;
  • Assist with the production, and distribution of semi-annual performance reports and management fee receipts;
  • Other tasks depending on PWL’s needs

All other related tasks as assigned.

Desired Credentials

  • Bilingual (English / French) orally as well as written
  • DEC in administration
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Understanding of the Canadian investment industry and the types of accounts available to Canadian investors (TFSA, RSP, LIF etc.)
  • Experience in the banking or securities industry
  • Knowledge National Bank Wealth Management Operations systems and process considered an asset
  • Portfolio management system and OSS system knowledge considered an asset
