Position Summary

PWL is searching for an experienced Senior Manager, Information Security to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the Enterprise Leadership Team in protecting PWL intellectual property and all business operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring PWL’s infrastructure, information systems, and data assets are safeguarded from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will help shape the vision for the cyber program by developing response plans and procedures, monitor and investigate security alerts and respond promptly, while also remaining proactive in evaluating the security products and technologies to enhance PWL’s security.

As the cybersecurity space continues to transform, the Senior Manager, Information Security must be passionate about security technology and is energized by staying updated with the latest security technologies, trends and risks. This individual will also be responsible for sharing this information back to support the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness and training programs for employees.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of robust cybersecurity measures encompassing data protection, secure infrastructure design, and oversight of secure software development practices to safeguard PWL’s sensitive information, networks, and applications
  • Create and maintain incident response plans or procedures to handle any incidents or breaches
  • Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures to ensure adequate cybersecurity posture and compliance with CIRO regulations, changes, and best practices
  • Perform or oversee assessments to identify, mitigate, and investigate security risks and providing detailed reports for remediation
  • Regularly monitor and analyze network activity (traffic, system logs, and security alerts) to detect and respond to potential security threats
  • Regularly report to Leadership Team on ongoing cybersecurity Threats & Risks and insights
  • Ensure adequate testing of cybersecurity controls
  • Integrate cybersecurity controls into IT Operations and Systems Integration processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upkeep and manage any current or new security controls, processes, or policies
  • Keeping up with latest security technologies, trends, and vulnerabilities to stay proactive, address risks, and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Assist in coordinating the delivery of cybersecurity awareness and training program for employees

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related, or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the Financial Services sector
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or other related credentials are considered an asset
  • Experience in NIST CSF or ISO 27001 framework implementation
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Proficient in using security tools and technology for monitoring, intrusion detection, and prevention
  • Demonstrated experience with information systems security governance and release management controls
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze and respond to security incidents
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information
