About the Opportunity

This position is ideal for someone with an interest in financial services, with strong administrative skills and a love of detailed paperwork. A candidate who will take on the responsibility of mastering the regulatory requirements for brokerage account administration is essential to the smooth running of our team.

This is an internal administrative and support role, which is non-client facing. However, your responsibilities can evolve over time based on skill set and career goals.

Responsibilities & Activities

The successful candidate will be responsible for all account documentation for the team, including ensuring that our regulatory requirements are fulfilled. You will be the main point of contact with our Corporate Operations & Compliance team, mastering our firm’s documentation processes and maintaining working knowledge of compliance requirements.

  • Prepare all client account documentation;
  • Develop & maintain excellent knowledge of PWL’s Operations department processes;
  • Develop & maintain excellent knowledge of IIROC requirements for brokerage account maintenance;
  • Be the team’s point of reference for account opening documentation requirements;
  • Ensure the accuracy of client information in our database;
  • Prepare and deliver statements, reports, and tax documents to clients

Qualifications & Skills

We’re looking for an individual with the right skill set, work ethic, and personality to fit in with our team. While prior experience in financial services administration is an asset, it’s not essential if you meet the following requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or related work experience;
  • Two years of administrative experience with an IIROC dealer member is an asset;
  • Experience in the preparation of account documentation, preferred;
  • A love of details, process, and policy;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, required;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both English and French, required;
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly & adapt to evolving processes;
  • Strong work ethic, maturity, and commitment to client service;
  • Committed to ethical and professional standards regarding confidentiality of client information;
  • An enthusiastic team player who can work effectively with others both internally and externally
