Background
Jane’s financial services career began in 1980 managing a small insurance agency. Through positions of increasing responsibility with a real estate and trust company, and five years with a national financial planning firm, she established herself in the industry, served on the ethics and professional development association committees, and started her own firm in 1989.
After 14 years as a business owner, Jane made the decision in 2003 to join forces with the like-minded advisors at PWL Capital. PWL was able to offer the reliable back-up from other senior advisors for greater client security, and to enhance consistency and improve investment portfolio structure, systems, compliance and reporting.
Other interests include travel, music, and gardening at family properties in Thornbury and Ste. Agathe with her husband, Matthew Elder, and their four sons. Volunteer activities include active membership in The Garden Club of Toronto, Ovarian Cancer Canada, and The Healing Journey program at Princess Margaret Hospital.
